VITRINE RÉSIDENCE
#7
Jacques Di Piazza • Gaëtane Lorenzoni • Léa Quindot • Alexane Sanchez
173Ilôt Saint Michel
These four young artists recently graduated or are about to. Two of them are former Saint-Luc students, Alexane and Jacques, the two others, Gaëtane and Léa, come from the Académie royale des beaux-arts of Liege. This residence is for them the opportunity of a first professional experience and of meeting their colleagues from the neighboring school.
The artists are at work while the artwork is in creation phase. Bit by bit, the work takes shape inside the window and offers itself to the eye. The place is transformed into an ephemeral studio, just enough time to observe the creation of artworks directly on site.
This window is created in collaboration with the Comptoir des Ressources Créatives. Association “ for and by the creators ”, the Comptoir des Ressources Créatives offers a wide range of material and immaterial services to professional artists (creation places and mutualized material, promotion support, diffusion…). Particularly mindful of the urban integration and of the access to culture, the non-profit-making organization collaborates with Art au Centre to offer tailored supports to the residents who also have access to several furniture kits designed by Haroun Landrain as part of the temporary Rhiz[H]ome workshops that are currently taking over the city center and the Sainte Marguerite neighborhood.
