Win for life

In his work, like in his intervention Win for life presented at Art au Centre, Yvan Derwéduwé becomes an attentive observer of the world in its sometimes neglected details.

An empty window is sprayed with artificial snow that forms a soft opaque white wall on which the passer-by or the occasional visitor can scratch his name, his tag or his drawing. Progressively, holes and cracks appear and it becomes slowly possible to see what is hiding behind this window. In a subtle and ironic way, Derwéduwé shows to what extent we tend to leave a trace everywhere we go. He also confronts us with our voyeuristic momentums.
