Art au Centre is a project aimed at revitalizing downtown Liège through art. It involves transforming the windows of vacant commercial spaces into showcases for artworks by contemporary artists from Liège, Belgium, and abroad. The initiative offers visitors an artistic journey through the city. The selection of artists is carried out by a committee of twelve contemporary art professionals, including curators, critics, and gallerists.

Initiators

The non-profit organization Liège Gestion Centre-Ville has as its main objective the revitalization and promotion of downtown Liège. In recent years, following the lead of the City, Liège Gestion Centre-Ville has firmly focused on cultural development to reinvigorate the city center, notably by creating links between the commercial and cultural sectors.

The non-profit organization Mouvements Sans Titre aims to promote contemporary artists, facilitate public engagement with art, and integrate artworks into public spaces. It develops alternative exhibition formats that enhance the accessibility of contemporary art to the widest possible audience.
