Céline Hurka and Alexander Webber believe they once met on a Summer Camp, held in an improbable place, on the 15th of August in a year they can never agree on… for AAC#12 they have turned their memories into the ‘Early Birds’ edition series. This edition of 50 consists of a unique Summer Camp Friends Forever painting and the full typeface family Tonka. Tonka is a three axis sans serif variable font, designed by Céline Hurka in colla-boration with Huw Williams and will be accessible in July 2023 as the first release of Céline’s highly anticipated type foundry. The typeface ranges from super light to super bold and hyper narrow to extra extended. Everything is also available in italic. Each ‘Early Bird’ painting by Alexander Webber is unique. They are oil on multi-plex and measure ~ 10cm x 7cm x 1cm and feature Tonka – the official typeface of Summer Camp Friends Forever.
