Continuum: a coherent whole characterized as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees (Source: Merriam-Webster).
A few students from the evening engraving class at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Liège got together with their teacher Audrey Lo Bianco to move into a window and open it up to the outside world, to continue and prolong life beyond the glass window, to make the passer-by participate and react.
A collective creation that takes shape thanks to the strikes of the gouges that trace furrows in the lino, which are revealed on different printing media: Wenzhou paper, textile and toilet paper. A single artwork, a staging, an appropriation. A collaboration that brings together, superimposes, binds and connects.
What is the place of our daily life that is specific to each of us? The toilet seat. As a nod to nearby Maastricht, we decided to present it in a blue atmosphere inspired by “Delft tiles”. A dispenser of hand-printed toilet paper invites passers-by to interact and detach a small piece of print.
This dispenser will be restocked on specific dates. Follow our social media!
