A small scenography for a closed shop window, a small scenography for a deactivated shop window.
With this project, I want to display one aspect of my work as a painter, reveal a part of my expressive, chromatic and technical research. I want to highlight the desire to showcase the feelings, the contrasts, the questionings, of what is my personal perception of society and to pass it on the eye of the spectator without providing explanations nor answers but on the contrary with the intention of questioning.
A tank, a pink tank, a row of tanks awaiting something undefined, a temporal suspension, an unknown but imminent omen. A parade, a lonely tank, wrecks, an excuse, a topic, a window towards a metaphysical space, an imaginary geometry, where the light that illuminates and seeks shapes and surfaces, in order to reflect them through the color.
Showing an ordinary interior, a furniture shop window for an absent-minded observer, a suggested decoration, staging the objects of a stereotyped daily life.
Everything is in the details, the diversions…
This is not blindingly obvious. One will have to take the time to observe and discover what falls outside the ordinary in this reactivated window. The diversions of the surface motifs, The use of certain unexpected objects in an interior. Everything will be implied, evocative of tragic events in the use of weapons.
